About Me
Biography
Charlotte Norris is a sophomore from Clarksburg, Maryland studying Geology at the University of Maryland. Her art interests include sewing, fashion design, and instrumental music. Their research at UMD will explore the impact of successful marketing on companies, with intentions of applying that knowledge to the fashion industry. To better her understanding of fashion, she has designed many pieces of clothing, including her prom dress. They also founded and led an FIDM sponsored Fashion Club during high school. Related to music, she participated in band on the flute as well as other wind instruments. She is now continuing her musical education through extracurriculars at UMD. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Geology, Charlotte hopes to work in museum curation or research.
As an Arts Scholar, Charlotte looks forward to continuing their education of the arts beyond music and fashion. She plans on learning more about various forms of art through Pentathlon and guest speakers. In Charlotte's capstone project, she will be exploring her research interests in the fashion or music fields, likely related to how it can be used in art therapy. Her overall university goals include getting involved with a variety of programs that include their love of music, community service, and business.
